Pol Quadens – Solo exhibition

Although Belgian artist Pol QUADENS is often viewed as designer on the art market, most of his creative process is sculptural. This new solo exhibition has each piece carefully selected for its exclusiveness, for its choice of materials but most of all for the primacy of expression over functionality. When a bench is no longer just a bench, when a light becomes kinetic mobile artwork,… then design defies its purpose to accomplish a goal subject to constraints and breaks free into another world.
