
Lucien Murat is gefascineerd door het concept van het einde van de wereld, door de voorstellingen ervan en door de invloed ervan op het collectieve onbewuste. Zijn schilderijen zijn een lappendeken van oude wandtapijten (die men in alle grootmoeders huizen in Frankrijk kon vinden) die met zorg zijn uitgezocht en aan elkaar genaaid. Onder Lucien's penselen worden ze getransformeerd in immense gekleurde tapijten die de fantasmatische grootsheid van chaos in vraag stellen, voortdurend kantelend tussen het absurde en het groteske.

Murat designs the 20 years anniversary label for Tracks / ArteEntre Tracks et Lucien, c’est une histoire qui dure depuis un moment. Déjà lauréat 2015 du Prix Arte / Beaux-Arts Magazine et désormais, pour l'anniversaire « 20 ans, toujours à côté de la plaque », Murat offre sa version de Tracks avec des pixels, des chiens méchants et des flingues !
