Michel TOMBROFF

M

ichel Tombroff (°1964) stelt dat conceptuele kunst en esthetiek niet onverenigbaar zijn. Zijn werk is een poging om de band tussen concept en subjectiviteit, die door de linguïstische wending van de jaren zestig werd vernietigd, te herstellen. Hij onderzoekt deze band in wiskunde, logica en metafysica, door vorm te geven abstracties zoals getallen, verzamelingenleer, oneindigheid. Idealisme, materialisme en realisme worden met elkaar in dialoog te gebracht. Hij is burgerlijk ingenieur (ULB) en behaalde een masterdiploma aan de Universiteit van Californië (Santa Barbara).
